This jet was always a neat proposition. High speed (480kts), long-range (2200 miles), $8.5 million. Does anyone know whether this plane will ever really make it to market? Is there a market? Is it too much of a unicorn?

I thought Morgan Freeman had the only operational airframe and it was repurchased from him recently by the certificate holder?

Years ago they were supposed to start building these in Martinsburg, WV. ...maybe a quarter of a century ago. I really had hoped that WV would see some aerospace investment between SJ-30 and the resurrected AG-5 Tiger. Surprisingly, both aircraft had previously had Gulfstream involvment. It would have been nice to see them work on them out of Savannah or see Gulfstream build them as a smaller cabin option to compete with Cessna and Learjet. Eventually Gulfstream would invest in the IAI aircraft and have the G100, G200, and G280, all wonderful aircraft. Granted, I haven't been on one in years.

SN1 no record.
SN2 no record.
SN3 N110SJ has a weak hit in 2016 near FL that may be just a typo at ATC.
SN4 N404SJ last flew in 2013 to KCDC (Utah).
SN5 N50SJ last flew in 2021 to KSAT (San Antonio).
SN6 N30SJ last flew in Apr 2023 to KVGT (Las Vegas).
SN7 N7SJ had a weak hit in Oct 2022 neat KAUS (Austin), might be ATC typo.
SN8 N200DV last flew Apr 2023 to KSAT (San Antonio).
SN9 no record.
SN10 N830SJ last flew Jul 2022 to KSAT (San Antonio).
Looks like few, maybe none, are in private hands, and none are truly flyable. Most have ended up at KSAT.
I think the project is dead.
The current single pilot longest range jet you can actually get is a Williams converted Citation S550. It can go about 2400 nm. There are about 10 in service.
Mike C. I know for a fact there was one flying in October 2021 in San Angelo Texas. I saw it with my own eyes when it parked at Ranger Aviation. The line guys said it had been coming in and out doing flight testing for a while. No idea why its not showing up.

I fear that Mike C may be right. A cool design looking for a good manufacturer is a sticky wicket compared to proven design presently built by proven manufacturers like Textron, Gulfstream and Bombardier.
