I assume that Autothrottle is required for Autoland, so should we expect to see Autoland on the M2 sometime in the future as well?

Inevitable, I suppose. Cool to some probably. With FADEC takeoff, climb, and cruise are already a set it and forget type deal, unless you are low and light then you need to manage power in the cruise to avoid over speeding.

Having never flown with A/T's, I just don't see what I am missing, however I suppose it's one of those things that once you have them...

Single pilot on a complex arrival with many step downs and speed restrictions I suppose I could see the value.

Agree that it is more of a nice to have than necessity for lower powered jets like the Mustang I fly but it is required for Garmin safe return/autoland which I would very much appreciate as the most significant single point of failure when flying my family.
