Have a 441 in prebuy for a new partnership and it has a G600 TXi with a GI-275 standby on the pilot side, and steam gauges on the co-pilot side. GFC600 autopilot. The vacuum AI is broken and the HSI doesn't work, I don't want to spend money fixing these or on new ones.
What is the cheapest way to get a Garmin PFD/HSI on the copilot side? My hope is we can put in a 7" TXi display and use the same air data computer as the pilot side, and retain the legacy altimeter to comply with the two air data requirement for RVSM (I assume the GI-275 does not count). The Garmin RVSM air data computers are very expensive.
I looked at the two GI-275 option but that seems more expensive than the 7" TXi, I assume because it always includes an internal ADC? If we can get a CDI and GP indicator on one GI-275, and control the autopilot heading bug (GFC600) that might be enough, but it looks like even that only saves a few thousand on the 7" TXi.

I'm pretty sure that a 7" Txi would cost less to buy and install than two GI275s but if the copilot use is only occasional, I think you could get by with a single GI275 configured in the 4 in 1 mode. That would also give you a little extra redundancy WRT battery backed ADHRS.

Is the legacy altimeter a certifiable RVSM ADC? You’ll need 2 RVSM ADCs and a backup. Pretty much you will need to follow an existing STC for RVSM. Anything else will cost a lot more trying to certify it.

First thing is to determine which STC was used to certify the G600 install with RVSM. You may be covered within the US without RVSM under ADSB. Have to understand the legalities of what was done already before deciding on a plan. Understanding the existing STC should be part of your pre buy.
