Learned Acro many years ago from Gene Soucy, in one of his CAP-10's. Delightful airplane with no vices, and a great teaching platform. Were it not for my addiction to biplanes, I would own one.

I flew at Soucy's school with Randy Gagne. Met Gene the last day.
We just bought a Cap 10B project... I don't know anything specific to them yet. I'm going up to look it over personally tomorrow and develop a punch list to get it flying season. New engine hoses, mags and plugs, and a prop overhaul is what I think so far.
Hello Donald, I have a Cap 10 project also. Would love to chat with you. 214. 546. 8898.

How goes your project?
It seems there is a CAP-10 specialist in the KILG area. My mechanic is going to have to take a look at my plane.
Whenever thread comes up I have a flashback to being a kid at an airshow. Watching a Cap 10 do a snap roll on takeoff was magical. So unreal that I thought it might just be one of those dreams that you turn into a memory. It was not.

David Bishop in Madison, IN is doing the restoration for us. It's going to be my brother's airplane... I'm not completely in the loop as far as status, but any of the wood that was questionable has been repaired or replaced. New canopy bubble was custom made by a friend of David's in OH, and all the flight instruments were overhauled at Rudy's.
Any specifics that you need, let me know and I will see what I can do to help.

Good to know. If you could PM me contact info for David, I would appreciate it. Just in case.
Do you know of any Hoffman props available or how to get one?
OK, my mechanic is hooked up and knows everyone. So he found a prop that I could borrow while waiting for a new one. The new one was quoted 20 weeks lead time, but ended up being delivered in about 5 weeks.
Airplane is now flying. But it and I are taking longer than I expected to bond together. I am having some issues with the roll out after landing, once the speed drops. Part of it seems to be the crown of the runway. A lot less trouble if I land to one side or the other. I am also having my mechanic check the alignment.
In the air, it is a dream. So far no acro as the crotch straps need to go back to the reweb shop to fix an issue.
