Greetings!
Does anyone here own an Agust 109 C 1999 Vintage or have access to one in a nearby hangar?
I have been hired to finish an interior recovering and reassemble the interior panels that were removed by someone else. Jig saw puzzles are fun, but can be time con$uming.
I reached out to the manufacturer for photos or schematics of the interior. Waiting for reply.
Searching the internet is eh in this case with mostly exterior shots.
I figured y'all are so diverse, someone might be able to provide me what I desire. Thanks for listening!
Elaine

What does it have for a gear up warning system? Tied to a radar altimeter? Something else? How much difference in cruise speed does gear up make? Seems like it wouldn't make much difference over a set of skids and it adds weight and complexity. In other words, is it more about looks than speed? Twin turbine engine, retractable gear, helicopter all sound expensive to operate. Mike C.

Can't answer any of the questions but being able to ground taxi a helicopter is pretty nice. We were in Salida, CO a couple weeks ago and there was a Blackhawk there on the ramp that was departing. They fired up and taxied to the runway before taking off. I appreciated that they didn't fling a bunch of crap at the planes parked on the ramp had they taken off (or even hover/air taxied) from there.

You nailed it, the gear warning is tied to the radar altimeter and says "landing gear" anytime it is up below 200 ft AGL. It makes about a 20kt difference. The Agusta is very fast for a helicopter and is incredibly stable. It's definitely one of the nicest and easiest to fly aircraft I've owned. It's a billionaire's toy...which I'm not. I enjoyed my 100 hours immensely but owning one of these long term would make owning a Citation look affordable. Glorious machine.
