Anyone with experience on replacing the welded steel Alternator mount, 0750213-1, with the Alum one that combines the L/H rear Engine Mount and the Alternator mount in one part? 643935 How does the Throttle cable route and clamp? There are a couple SE and SK numbers that seem to reference this, or the parts., but I haven't been able to come up with those online. SE79-5 and -58. SK182-52F. The IPC for this hasn't been updated since 1974 so this change from 1979 doesn't show up.

Had a mess with the mount and cables a couple years ago. PM me an email address and I will pull the docs and pics that I have and send along. Short version: Throttle cable, its routing and clamp/mount are very different. I think I ended up with an extra mount/clamp, will check. RAS

What are the Throttle Cable Differences between S1222-13, S1222-16 introduced on S/N 18259306, C299505-0201 (I believe same as S1222-16) Introduced S/N 18260056.
Do these mount in the panel and route the same?
The C299505-0205 was introduced along with one piece Alum combo Engine and Alternator Mount. This uses the 0750612-1 Cable Mount. This little steel mount was less than $4 in 1980. Today is nearly $1400. More than the big Alum Engine/Alternator combo Mount at $800+.

Today is nearly $1400. More than the big Alum Engine/Alternator combo Mount at $800+. I do not think they are the same and they route differently. The original cable and routing ran under the alternator mount to a clamp. The new style cable, for use with the single piece engine/alternator mount, routes above/between the alternator and then almost vertical down to a different clamp. If you look at the pics I sent, the cable mount showing on the red engine is the new style. The attached pic shows the correct routing over the top of the alternator and then vertical down to the cable mount. The blue thing is the new cable, the red circle is the new mount. I have another pic, too large to attach here, that shows the new cable mount in place, will email it to you. RAS
