Frank Robinson designed and built the R22, most of it out of his house.

Wall Street Journal article, very positive, about his career. I bet it’s behind a paywall.

I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Robinson when I was sent out to their CFI Safety School around 1990. At that time he still taught the class personally.

He knew what he was about. RIP.
