I thought the forward view out of a 182 was challenging but that ski ramp nose on this.......

I fly this C 206 amphib. It tries out at 137 knots at 3500ft burning 25 gal/hr.

We considered single engine Allison turboprops at Cessna, primarily due to cost/availability of avgas in some foreign locations. Hard to get past the cost of the engine and certification.

Hard to get past the cost of the engine and certification. It is a good match for the A36 and 206. In my A36 it was the right amount of HP, climb rate and fuel burn. I love the Pratt in the A36 but it melts fuel down low. The Soloy/Tradewind conversion doesn’t burn enough gas down low to make it very limiting…nice setup. The motor is expensive so every gear up landing really screws up the insurance landscape.
