How many gallons per hour would that burn?

Likely 25-30 gph depending on power settings. Close to 30 with the floats on.

It sure looks like the thrust angle is pointed down a lot! Imagine it in flying attitude, it looks like the prop would be aimed down at 10 degrees or so.

I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination, almost every airplane I've owned has had bigger engines, and I love turbine engines..... but that is just plain fugly...

Came across this on a facebook group. Seems cool... and weird... There's an old for sale ad with a video showing it only going 125 knots at 2000'. Nothing showing off any performance gains from a 450HP turboprop.

Sure could use some kind of accent stripe.

I fly this C 206 amphib.
It tries out at 137 knots at 3500ft burning 25 gal/hr.

Yep. What lengths people will go to screw up a perfectly good airplane is beyond me. Turbine esthetics work on some piston engine conversions but not this one.

We considered single engine Allison turboprops at Cessna, primarily due to cost/availability of avgas in some foreign locations. Hard to get past the cost of the engine and certification.

It is a good match for the A36 and 206. In my A36 it was the right amount of HP, climb rate and fuel burn. I love the Pratt in the A36 but it melts fuel down low. The Soloy/Tradewind conversion doesn’t burn enough gas down low to make it very limiting…nice setup. The motor is expensive so every gear up landing really screws up the insurance landscape.
