In Utah the 260hp Cherokee Six is seen as just adequate on power or even a little underpowered but the Rayjay STC would be great. The engine is bulletproof and give a great deal of confidence but it needs a bit more boost at our altitudes.

I flew a turbo Saratoga in the mountains a lot. the long tapered wing coupled with full power up to about 17,000 made it a great performer.
a turboed six could be a real nice aircraft.

Suggest that you look hard at the 205. Not well known, but an excellent hauler with good handling. Doesn't have the cabin size of the 6, but having flown both, I like the 205 from a pilot's perspective (handling, ability to carry a load and get out of a field) better than the 6.
Doug Ranz is on the forum and has owned a 205 for some years.

Doug Ranz is on the forum and has owned a 205 for some years. I would prefer the 205 for all of those reasons. Inventory is way up from just a few months ago. These piston-single six-seaters are just not $150k airplanes to me though.
