The Cherokees do lean back when the CG is towards the rear, but they don’t compress the struts all the way like that. The main struts go down an inch or so and the plane teeters back a bit, extending the nose strut.

They taxied by us going to / from the south 40 … tail was dragging on he ground .. lots of mud and grass in the rear tie down.

One of the attributes of the PA32 and C206 is the CG envelope that allows stuff it in and go loading. You will never see the empty CG listed, or discussed, in for sale listings for PA32/206’s.

I know a young guy that aborted a takeoff at about 120 when the nose would not lift.

Turns out the young freight loaders put about 450# of nuts and bolts in the forward compartment. :bugeye:
