To me, overpopulation is a quality of life issue more than an environmental one, although it is that also. I do not have a beehive mentality. I need open range and solitude. People talk about actually wanting to be in Times Square for New Year's celebration. That would be hell on earth for me, being surrounded by masses of citiots pushing and shoving each other. No thank you.

You got angry, then did a tiny bit of filtered research to support your anger. Lots of that happening these days. A reasonable capacity for the Earth, using a western standard of living and consumption, is about 1 billion. 8 billion is too much if everybody has a 3 bedroom house, car, appliances, etc. 8 billion works if only a small elite fraction has those things and the rest live in inferior conditions, but this will become unstable politically and ethically. If we stay at 8 billion with everyone having high lifestyles, it will work for a while, but the planet will eventually fail us, and those signs are already clearly showing up. How we navigate this issue is the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. When the principles of individual equality are in conflict with sustaining the earth, there will be trouble. Resources have always been the primary cause of conflict in human history. Mike C.

Yep. The damage the AGW proponents are so adamant to cause really is evil. But never let the facts get in the way of a good narrative. This is one of my favorites lately; the first 10 min most entertaining and the intro hilarious; https://youtu.be/6Tz1MiX1p5I

Lots of that happening these days. Nope. I started researching this about 17 years ago when my then teenage daughter came home from high school saying saying GW was mankind's fault etc. I thought "yeah probably true". So I started reading and researching. About that time the IPCC put out the the fourth assessment report summary for policy makers stating the science report would be released when it had been 'edited to more closely align with the SPM.' I thought "WTF"? The unedited science report was leaked very soon after and did NOT support the doom and gloom of the SPM. I have been closely following the issue and others ever since. I got angry much later.

That is out of date, it is now closing in on 50% and steadily decreasing, at least for the USA. As time goes by, electricity will generate less and less CO2. One of the nice things about EVs is that you can change the "fuel" without changing the car. There are a lot of questionable logic and numbers in this presentation, none of it with verifiable references. For example, no CO2 assigned to fighting wars to secure oil supplies, nor the effort to drill, refine, transport oil. I am sure this will resonate with some people who will treat it as the absolute truth. That what the Internet is, find whatever truth you want and you can find absolute confirmation of it. Mike C.
