Does anyone have any experience with these planes. The looks, speed and technology have always interested me. I think I want one.

SR22 is your friend. New technology, great resale, and factory support.

Far superior to the Beech, cept they don't make em anymore. Faster, flies further, better avionics, carries more fuel (stock), carries more tks, more oxygen, has speedbrakes, etc. etc. Only thing that it can't compete with is useful load/space. If you've got a family of 5, get a DA-62 or TBM

A local fellow has a 350. It's astounding how LITTLE maintenance that airplane requires. Solid airplane, very fast per gallon of gas, hauls a decent amount and is a pleasure to fly. Then it doesn't eat your shorts when it's time for the annual inspection. In my mind these factors make the Columbia / TTX line a good buy. Forget about resale value - buy it, fly it, love it, and don't worry about resale. No airplane is an investment. Resale value is of no consequence if one approaches airframe values in this light.
The only down side I can see is the rate at which brake pads get eaten up... Not a big deal if one is prepared and keeps spares on hand.

As much as I am sympathetic to the Beech club, the 400 is superior for one or 2 people and the TTX offers fiki which I don't think is available with the Bonanza. And without gear, one less system to maintain. That said I've always wanted a Bonanza.
