Buddy looking at cirrus but I think these are way better deal. 6' 4" and 330 lbs? - Rockwell Commander, look no further. I'm 6' 2" and closer to 200lbs.

I’m 6’3” and 230. I fit in my Columbia 350 with the seat fully back and the seat back tilted back a bit. I moved the bottom seat pad forward an inch or so to get my head away from hitting the ceiling. I owned a Commander 114-B in the past and had plenty of room. But, I wanted the speed of the Columbia, so trading the space was worth it to me. Jim ~~~~ Username Protected wrote: What’s the cabin like for someone who is 6’4” and maybe 330. I did a test flight in a Citation M2 and I have to say, coming from the Columbia 400 and especially the TTx, was eerily similar. The sight-picture, general layout of the Garmin flight deck and so on, just felt like an easy step up. I was in the right seat, not left seat. That is, until you push the throttles on those two turbojets and start the take off roll. That's way more exciting in a jet. The Columbia and TTx cockpit is more comfortable though.

This is LITTERALY true. I buy damaged aircraft from insurance Companies. The difference in the construction quality is significant. Basically, a Cirrus will be totaled with far less impact energy than a Columbia/Corvallis/Ttx.
Thankfully, Cirrus owners can mitigate this shortcoming and choose to pull the CAPS rather than perform off airport landing and risk the plane coming to bits before it stops.

Yep: Utility vs Normal category, the 400/ttx is much stronger. Allegedly (i learned this at cessna training), the wing spar is so strong it _broke the jig_ during testing. They had to cut one of the spars to get it to break, at 19g's.

As long as you don’t fly through the top of an angry young boiling cumulus at 12,000 feet just to see how the ride would be. I was never tempted to repeat that young bold stupid pilot move again. Near the end of the ride I was not worried at all about the airplane but about being knocked out and not waking up in time to not crash.

Well I did it. I added another to the hangar. 2015 TTX with 800 hrs. I’ve got about 35 hrs. In it now and every time I fly it I get a bigger smile.
The Navaho is great when I need to take a bunch of people but when it’s the wife and I, this is my new go to.
It’s hard to believe the speed and range are close to the Navaho but 1/3 the fuel.
The G2000 avionics with the GFC 700 auto pilot is great…..

It’s a blast…. The side controls are a direct linkage that is a swivel around a point. It’s very responsive and trims out to where you can just rest your hand against it.
It’s unfortunate Cessna couldn’t get out of their way to keep these in production rather then wanting to sale jets.
It’s fast, fun and efficient.
