Not "hot", but "warm", as in not "cold". It wasn't winter.

20 C would be ISA + 14 at that field elevation, and that's decidedly towards the warm side of things airplane wise.

If you fly on a -20 C day, things are different.

I live in Kuwait, so "hot" is anything above 45 degrees C. Only mad dogs and Englishmen dare venture outside. I suppose I'm close enough to qualify. ;)

In any event, it's my understanding that we don't need to consider if the temp is above or below ISA because the manual takes into consideration temperature among other things and gives us the takeoff distance (balanced field length).

By the way, what is that liquid apparently coming out of the back of the Citation at 6:47? https://youtu.be/1Hq9k9Bl5lA&t=6m45s

Relating it to ISA indicates how relatively warm it is. ISA + 14 is pretty warm.

Not sure.

Could be trapped rain or washing water that is released when pitching up or cycling the gear.

Nothing in the design of the airplane intends to vent stuff like that, to my knowledge.

First and last time a jet operated out of Courchevel Altiport in the Alps:
https://youtu.be/c6Wr3ilAWpo

sadly there are no videos of the landing. They had a scheduled airline service for several years with a Twin Otter and then a Dash 7 from Courchevel, very impressive.

There was an Citation (I I think) that was operating out of Elstree EGTR north of London (651 meters = 2150ft) for several years in the 90s, saw it a couple of times, although I think only with the owner on board.

Correct. I know him personally. He always flew with an SIC.
Good guy. Lives in NJ now.

There was a Citation based at Castlebar in Ireland in the early '80s. About 600 yards if I remember. I knew a guy who claimed to have taken in out on one engine.
