Is anyone flying a Fw-190, preferably the radial powered model.

The late Paul Allen collection had one. It came from Russia where it had been bellied in a filed. Pilot walked away leaving his googles hanging on the pitot mask. Still there when it was recovered.

Evergreen had a FW-190A-3 replica with an engine, but I don't know if it flew. They had an ME 109 that did fly, N109EV

It's still there, and is still the only one in the world with an original BMW 801 engine that is flyable, although it's currently out of annual. There is an F-model (ground attack version with the same engine) getting close to flying but it's not there yet. There are no Jumo-engine (long-nose, Dora model) examples flyable in the world.

Erickson in Oregon has a replica FW-190 that was reportedly made from the original tooling.

They also have the last flying Japanese Oscar. Amazing plane.

I was there last week. No, it has a few original parts, like the tailwheel, but as Steve Hinton says, it's a kitplane that looks like a Fw-190. Steve's the only one who's flown both, FlugWerk replicas and the real thing, and he says he never understood how WWII pilots raved about the 190 when he flew the replicas but his first flight in the real one, he totally got it. He compares it to driving a VW Beetle vs. a Porsche.

We had an event at Frasca Field a Loooong time ago and there was one there with some radial engine. It was maybe a reproduction?

Looked so cool.

That is a replica with an American Pratt R-2800 Engine.
I know it was at Chino for a while. Probably the one Steve Hinton flew that he later compared to the Original.
