Went for a fight today in a TN cirrus.
Usual setting of 30/2500/17gph.
TIT right at 1650 or so. That seemed high.
Is this normal? Timing retarded? Temps all looked good

Honestly, I’d also post this on the COPA forum … they have some real experts on the engines and parameters. I owned a TN and those numbers seem a bit high high to me from memory, but it really depends on the plane and the engine.

Jim Barker in WI is probably the best resource for these airplanes having worked for both TAT and Cirrus during that time. Spot on Geoffrey. That's how I ran both of my SR22T's. My takeoff FF may have been 40-41gph which allowed for nice cool climb outs. If the OP is talking TAT TN, then those are a little different but in all cases you want TIT's under 1600. 1650 is too hot.
