Tethered and limited to 4' AGL, with maximum endurance at just 8 minutes. The developer makes an interesting comment on the reports of Jetpacks sightings around LAX.

They clearly need to start doing mid air refueling.

Every time I see Yves, I want to go fly with him and be him.

Then I remember his resume, and think: even half of it? Dream on boy...
What a man!

Want. Want. Want. But probably not crazy enough to fly. I’ll have to settle for the jetson or something tamer.

More reports of jetpacks https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... to-his-dad

The link contains a video showing a Frenchman crossing the English Channel. A Brit claims to be talking to UK and US military, as well as an ambulance service for mountain rescue (British mountains are modest - the highest mountain mentioned is 3,209'.)

This report has a video of flying the jetpack in the Lake District, which has England's highest peaks. Both links are coming up to two years old.

The easy way to get started is the water jet versions.

You can do them in Cancun. They hook up to a jetski for the water.

Doing it with water, over water makes a lot of sense. I saw the water jetpacks last summer in San Diego. That I haven't seen them recently doesn't mean they're not operating.
