I am used to what I paid for enhancements for my A36 in keeping it in excellent shape. However, I am new to costs associated with redoing an interior and in this case a 1977 C206 - the utility version with the barn doors. I am seeking all new plastic, leather side panels, front and middle seats, new insulation/ soundproofing, new glare shield, door and window seals, and headliner. Just wondering what the BT knowlege base has for total costs of an interior.

It depends greatly on the condition of what is there and re-usable, and the quality of what you want to replace it with. The sky is the limit on what you can spend. I mean, you can go with a very luxurious interior with a lot of very high grade leather and hand stitching and details.

At the very lower end of the cost scale, you could price a DIY interior kit from AirtTex or someone as a starting point.

Last time I did a full interior, was a Cherokee 180 in 2005. It was nice, grey leather and carpet and I think it was right around $10k. But that was a much smaller, simpler airplane and nearly 20 years ago.

When I had my first 182 I had my guy install a new interior, all leather. This was in 2000 and he was not involved in any way in the aviation industry, he owned a local upholstery shop. The leather cost me $1700, he charged a few hundred for install.
In 2010 when I wanted the Bonanza interior redone he then owned Aero Interiors in Billings. I said let's do it again. Naturally the cost of leather had gone way up. I laughed and said to him you didn't realize how expensive aviation leather was supposed to be.
I had some minor issues with the leather, mainly the fact that leather doesn't like to go around small radius corners. Those arm rests in your 206 are an example. It was always pulling out. Leather will show wear on the seats from you sliding on it.
He talked me out of leather for the Bo and I went with ultra leather. I would do it again. It's much thinner and pliable than real leather. It does not show wear like leather. Only downside is there is no leather smell when you open the door. I think I paid about $10K for all seats and side panels as well as wrapping the plastic window trim. He also painted any exposed metal like the seat frames, heat vents, windshield frame, etc.

I was soft quoted over the phone $15k to do my Cessna 205. So I figured, sure - worth flying the plane over to them to have them give me a firm quote.

When *that* actual quote came back it was $30k, including $20k in labor. I don’t know how they missed by such a margin, including $5k more in labor alone than their entire original estimate. And no, I did not hide the ball or change what I wanted. Nonetheless, I was pretty miffed on the wasted time and this deal did not get done.

In any case, it’s probably gonna cost you somewhere between $15k and $30k hah.

Making it simple, you have four components: floor, side panels, headliner, and seats. All four of these can be done separately for reasonable amounts of money. First, I would look into the Selkirk panels. They look great and are almost indestructible. Get a person experienced in their installation though you can DIY. The same installer can probably do your headliner as well. Any good upholstery shop can do your seats if you provide the certified materials.
The floor is the easy part. You want rubber mats or carpet? Both can be purchased pre-cut.

Hint. Insulation done with Selkirk panes. but the insulation from Selkirk is junk.

All in all done, about $15,000.
