I thought for experimental, you get an LOA, not a type rating. Gotta find a guy authorized to check you out for the LOA, but... Paul
We haven’t had LOAs in 20 years! It’s now an “Authorized Experimental Aircraft” that requires an 8710 and a checkride from a DPE.
