When asked about the F-117, I always start with a joke that has a lot of truth to it:

When Lockheed designed the F-117, it had a pilot and a weapons systems officer (WSO). The Air Force insisted that it be a single seater, so Lockheed took the pilot out.

Gear in the wheels, AP on. Short final, AP off.
