Sometimes, a larger hangar just isn't available.... anywhere within a reasonable distance..

What on earth are you cramming in there that weighs that much! 2,368 lbs. empty weight, 4,000 lb. gross (TAT TN STC). 1,632 lbs. useful load. I can (and have) carried 5 adults, overnight baggage (for 5) and full fuel (80 gallons). No problem. If a Malibu was limited to 80 gallons of fuel a typical 1,250 lb. useful load Malibu would have roughly 850 lbs. left for people and bags making it a 4 seater. Not bad, certainly. It still won’t fit in my hangar….

You sure about that? His ad shows 1333 of useful. Egads! I misremembered.
My useful load is *only* 1,632 lbs., so I’d only be giving up 299 lbs.
4 men, 4 sets of golf clubs, 4 sets of weekend luggage and full fuel is no problem. My useful load is quite useful.

Username Protected wrote: The way to go about it is use all available space, ahead of the hangar, to finish the turn.
Then the final push back is straight in, with both wingtips entering at the same time. A centering line also makes it easier. Looks like the door is narrower than the wingspan. Getting both wingtips to enter at the same time may require some disassembly..

Better is to precisely place a line for at least one main gear tire - it then owns the wingtip position. That and "Also markings to line the tail against the back of the hangar" as noted by Charles Robertson will get the job done every time. I use a tall colorful vertical line centered on the rear wall that is readily seen while operating the nose wheel tug.

1450 isn't wildly remarkable. PA46 got piggy over time. The early ones can be good.
