Except put it in a T-hangar. ;)

Not exactly.

Yes, the Malibu has FIKI certification and pressurization, but I’d be giving up about 305 lbs. of useful load by switching to a Malibu.

Having said that I could make it work for 95% of my trips and I’d love to have one.

Getting one to fit into my hangar isn’t possible though.

You sure about that? His ad shows 1333 of useful.

Hmm fits in a 65’ door. Nice!

My Malibu is 1452 useful load. I do have one seat removed that weighs 23 pounds, which helps that number a bit.

Is there a way to get a Malibu in a 43 foot hanger if you go in a bit sideways? I was thinking I saw a video on YouTube once.

I have a 43 foot door and as soon as I get about another 150 pic I am going to this airframe but this is an issue for me.

Wow, I would like to see that! A 45 door is a tight fit for a 43’ wing. Some hangars also have structural members that protrude a bit into the hangar.

Even if possible that sounds like a TERRIBLE idea. It may work for awhile but all you need is one miscalculation, one dark night, one push back under pressure etc and you’ll be cursing this decision. Needs a 45’+ door.

I am not endorsing or suggesting I would do this. I am not this patient.

Y’all are so cranky

As for the wife who doesn’t like the cannula at 15,500… she doesn’t have to use it

I've been moving GA airplanes for 30+ years, and have stuffed a 51' Conquest in a 49' door on a normal basis for about six months, but that video made even me nervous. I'd do it once or twice, but not on a normal basis. I never came close to scratching it, but the other two pilots each had minor incidents..

My worst was stuffing a 39'10" 414 into a 40' wide building. Worse yet was the 11'7" tail in the 10' door. That was a once and temporary situation for a heated hangar to complete the annual inspection in the middle of a Michigan winter....
