The full garmin glass was probably close to a 100 pounds of useful load addition. With the seat out 23lbs and worthless drink cabinet ahead of it (14lbs). I agree, most are in the 1300-50 range. Kevin

I really enjoyed Cory’s videos and i had been wondering when we’d see some more posted. I hope he’s continuing with aviation and becoming Duke Flyer or something like that, or maybe Pilatus Flyer with his growing family (and his daughter is a pilot as well, so maybe future pilot grandkids…..). I wish him well, that plane is truly a nice example and I wish I was ready to step into this one.

The GFC 600 is required along with the GFC600 AP. Is that correct? It has the G500TXi which is allowed in the all variants (Malibu, Matrix, Mirage, Meridian). GFC600 approved too. You may be thinking of the G1000NXi? GFC600 doesn't cover that since it already has GFC700.

That makes options for someone much better if they want to upgrade this Malibu's A/P The gfc 500 has “with X” requirements because it needs extra brainpower The 600 is self contained. I don’t think it needs anything external other than signal inputs

Then the final push back is straight in, with both wingtips entering at the same time. A centering line also makes it easier. Looks like the door is narrower than the wingspan. Getting both wingtips to enter at the same time may require some disassembly.. I missed that, the left wingtip is already inside the door here

So it seems the consensus is that if this airframe fit into a standard T-hangar they would be a lot more popular. Have any of you actually wanted one of these and haven't bought solely for that fact that it won't fit into a regular hangar?

Have any of you actually wanted one of these and haven't bought solely for that fact that it won't fit into a regular hangar? I looked at one that I was serious about and the hangar size was a definite factor in my decision to go a different direction. It is all relative, though. I ended up with a SR-22 which barely fit in the hangar that I had so I moved it to a larger hangar that would fit a PA-46 but only fit with the sub-12 inch margins that made me nervous with the Cirrus in the smaller hangar. I dry leased a Meridian for a year. Wonderful airplane for my wife and I with some baggage for a week. John

Have any of you actually wanted one of these and haven't bought solely for that fact that it won't fit into a regular hangar? Absolutely. My TAT TN 550 powered A36 provides incredible capability without the pressurization and FIKI certification. The Malibu is probably the only airplane that would get me out of the A36. But it won’t fit in my hangar (I was on a waiting list 13 years to get the hangar I have, I don’t have time to wait again). Jim

The Meridian is what will get you out of the Bonanza. It did it for me after owning the same A36 for 27 years!

The ad is down off Trade a Plane. I’ll bet it went quickly. I hope Cory continues his videos with another airplane.
