I am looking at a turbo Arrow III with 3000 + hours to fly as I get really old. I have a lot of time in one in my misspent youth and found it to be a nice airplane to fly in the mountains and get to smooth air.

I have looked at the wing AD and have some questions that the hive mind might be able to shed light on.

It appears to just affect the wing spar and does not affect the carry through. have all the carry through's been crack free?

can wings from other models with the same shape be installed as replacements and have their hours control what is done?

Is piper or someone supplying replacement or repaired wings?

At 3000 total hours, it probably doesn’t come close to having the Factored Service hours required to trigger the eddy current inspection. But you cal always do it for peace of mind. There have not, thus far, been a huge number of failed bolt holes, although I’m sure it’s traumatic to those who do.

There are 2 different spar ADs. But nothing has ever been mentioned on the center carry through section.
