Anyone here have any stick time in a M26? Looks like a nice, but relatively rare tandem trainer.

I know it’s not exactly common, but AVWEB and a few other places have reviewed it. Surely someone here has something to add.

The dear departed Rit Keiter of Santa Rosa CA, best known for the Airborne Electronics prop governor for E powered Bonanzas had one. I rode in it once but have no idea what might have happened to it.

It used a lot of fuel. Riders would bring a credit card. Sometimes he towed it with a golf cart to the end of the runway so as to avoid taxiing in it.

Rit was very impressed with some of the engineering in it and actually met with the designer.
He really liked the idea that as the motor was cranking the engine, different combinations of field windings were switched in as the motor accelerated to optimize torque and reduce current draw.
