Got my tailwheel endorsement in a Husky. Great airplane. Nothing like flying stick and rudder, landing and taking off on grass.

Hardly a 747 panel - that would have had limited glass and probably Collins or Honeywell!!!

Mostly, just because it is IFR certified and it is much easier to maintain a modern panel without concerns about component failures, etc. Plus, it will clean it up substantially and probably allow me to lower the panel height.

No direct experience with this, but I've watched several videos of similarly equipped, similar airplanes landing on back country strips with the boxes continually yelling, "Terrain! Pull up! Pull up!" That's got to be a hellofa distraction. Hopefully there's a way to silence that.
Congrats on the purchase!

My 530 I have set so terrain alerts are inhibited all the time. The Aspen can't be inhibited but the alerts go away by the time I am in the pattern.

The G3x in my Cub does this. When the terrain box pops up, you simply tap it and the annunciation cancels. Not a big deal.

Got her tucked into my hangar the other day. Did my dual checkout for insurance and now just need to go fly her some!!!

I’m really late to this party, but that was my buddy’s Husky! It was well taken care of.

Here it is in its natural habitat (before he swapped to the two-blade MT).
