If it had N.A.A. on the rudder pedals Hoover could put on a air show with it! Given the chance he might have pulled one off with the space shuttle. :btt:

I don't remember if I posted this or not. I met a former OV-10 pilot who got to fly with Hoover in his back seat. Hoover asked if he could fly the take off and do a "dirty roll" after lift off. Hoover performed the take off and dirty roll (gear down) flawlessly. The pilot told me that he later tried to do the same thing at safe altitude. He told me that he went below his simulated deck the first 9 times he tried.

The pilot (I forget his name) was on the board of the OV-10 museum in Fort Worth. He stopped by my hangar to look at our Legend Cub.

A company in my industry uses a couple of OV-10s to train USAF JTACs. These were restored and they have gun pods and MERs to drop BDU-33 training munitions.

Ah, the dreaded BDU-33. 25lbs of hate.

Looks like a fun job for a former TACP/ALO/B-52 WSO/Civilian Pilot......

I didn't make your list but it would be (was) a cub job for me too!
Enough so that I looked up their website and let it muddle around in my brain for a bit!

I did some CAS training with my Grumman a few times back when I was the 3 ASOG commander. Just getting the geometry and pacing right was good training for the JTACs. I bet I could do better in my Bo due to the increased speeds.

As far as I know this is the first flying Bronco to be on the open market

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/this ... 89105.html

I think it is a bargain

My project could be purchased (with large spares package and extra inventory to sell/trade) and completed for substantially less but it is by no means turn key like this one.

Mine was the first civilian owned Bronco and for that I had the honor of having ATF and Customs show up with trucks, trailers and a forklift to try to take it from me-didn’t go as planned for them, thankfully!

Looks like a clean restoration, that's a former State Dept spray ship and was also an A&P school training aid.

Pretty sure the group of aircraft that this came from were not used by Dyncorp. My understanding is they went directly from the military to the Vietnam War Museum in Texas that was not much more than a fenced compound. It does have the Hartzell 4 blade prop conversion though. Unless it is the one that went to the Valiant Air Command in Titusville. That one was flown to Chino and came from the State Dept/Dyncorp program.

There was an ex State Dept one that Dyncorp operated that first went to a museum in Hagerstown in the D+ configuration then to a community college A&P school in upstate NY. It was not assembled and was stored outside for a couple of years. It was auctioned by DRMO with no logs or data plates. It had my serialized drop tanks with it. I was the second bidder on it but no one seems to know who bought it or where it went.

I just checked, all 4 were previous State Dept ships, 474 was the A+P trainer in Vermont
