Interesting lesson. Several of the options we considered would not do a "pre-buy", but required the inspection to be an annual.

That led us(buyers) wanting it done closer to its new home, which is 1000nm from its current home. In fact, we wanted it done by the shop that will become our 414 shop.

That led to both parties agreeing to walk away. No hard feelings and I completely understand the seller's perspective. It's a seller's market and the risk of something going sideways 1000nm away is a real risk.

I can somewhat understand the shop's perspective as well. I don't like it, but I get it.

No judgements here, just passing along another lesson.
