I saw a video yesterday with the new improvements for the Honda Jet Elite S. Completely out of my league, but I have always liked the Honda airplane. I didn´t see any ground breaking novelties with the S. A few more colors, some avionics updates, and more range or pax carrying capacity.

Rgs,

Patrick.

Always liked the look of that little jet.

Very comfy and nice plane to fly. Drove one down to Addison not long ago.

According to owners, the support from Honda is like none other.
Honorable and amazing to deal with.

I just need them to get the short field performance down to 2600’ or so....

Disappointed they didn't post more pics, especially interior/avionics. That's what really interests me (visually, at least)

They just need a stretch model and cessna sells a lot less jets.

One of the few airplanes out there with a crosswind limitation vs max demonstrated.

From a flight test article:

“Due to the minimal dihedral and short landing gear, crosswind landings must be made with consideration for the potential of dragging a wingtip. The airplane is limited to no more than 20 knots of crosswind. Above 15 knots it is landed as is a jet with engines in pods beneath the wings: a crabbed approach that is kicked out during the flare. The AFM has specific crosswind landing procedures“

Most airplanes just have a max demonstrated crosswind value, which isn’t a limitation.

Speaking of Honda Jets, we are currently looking into the Jet It folks for one of our clients. Anyone familiar with them?

They seem to be slowly improving the Honda Jet. Some improvements are performance related and some are stylistic. Sounds like Cirrus. I won't bet against them.

There was an article recently on AOPA magazine. Sounds cool. If you are a pilot you can take the rating and they let you fly the plane alongside an experienced captain. That would be a good selling point for me! They also work on flying days, as opposed to hours.
I saw one of their planes in Marathon Key coming from Costa Rica. Let us know what you find out.

The Red Jet Squadron program is intriguing. Chip please report back what you find with Jet It. It states the hourly rates are $1,600. That doesn’t sound too unreasonable. What are the DOCs on a Hondajet?

A HondaJet with a pretty light blue color scheme has started to come into my home airport (KEMT) a lot. Don't think it's based here, but I've seen it at least 10 times by now. I think it's doing training, because it does a lot of pattern work and keeps coming around multiple times.

My hangar is just by rwy 19, so I get to see up close when it powers up. Such a sweet little jet and it gets going pretty good, too. I'm sure it was light this time around, but on a 105 degree day it was still off just after half the rwy at around 2400ft. Pretty impressive. It's also a lot quieter than the Cirrus Jet that's based here.
