I'll trade a bit of a rough ride in turbulence for runway performance and stability... especially in a Turboprop.
If you are considering a Commander... all you have to do is fly one.
Done.
There are advantages to all airplanes, someone spent tens of millions of dollars developing them and building them... and then other someone's spent X millions buying them. So all of them were good enough to sell at least a few hundred.
Overall, from an ownership prospective the venerable old King Air usually wins... that's why there are so many of them.
P.S. I'll agree with Penman that the PC-12 is an awesome airplane... if we're talking north of $2M
