They started putting single throttle for more than one engine in the Rafael, and supposedly have had good luck.
Listening to a podcast about the 10x now, I'll see if they talk in depth about the throttle.

Perfect french syntax, the accents are exactly where they need to be! I'll just add the famous quote by Marcel Dassault: "Un bel avion est un avion qui vole bien" ("a beautiful airplane is a plane which flies well"). Olivier, when are you getting rated on the 10x? I don't so much miss the 3rd engine as the round cockpit windows weird me out every time, compared to the nice, old-fashioned, fast-looking sharp edges on the 10/200/50!

Fabien, I hope the French is correct; I just copied and pasted it. I took some French in school but my mother had to help me with the homework (she speaks fluent French, having lived in Geneva). We say in the US "If it looks good, it will fly good" (not perfect English grammar as you probably can tell). Someone in the US also commented that "The French copy NO ONE! And NO ONE copies the French!" Sorry, couldn't resist.

What "problem" are they solving? Are pilots having trouble moving two levers? Why do it at all? Seems like gratuitous complexity for no reason. I bet it generates a few pages of abnormal or emergency procedures that wouldn't exist otherwise. Mike C.

It could be a marketing strategy to attract buyers who are stepping up from SETP's and the Cirrus Vision Jet, who are most comfortable using a single thrust lever.

Ah, yes, the 10X is the logical step up from an SF-50. Cirrus should do the same thing. Then they can finally build a useful jet with two engines instead of a lame single. They can still sell it to their customers who are irrationally adverse to having two engines. They have only one lever, so they will never know. Mike C.

Multi-engine turbine helicopters are already there.
Knowing Cirrus, they will probably have two turbofans feeding a single centerline nozzle.
If any company can make the expression "It's so crazy, it might work!" come true, it's Cirrus.
(And for my city Kozin: I didn't forget the green font.)

Sad to see it go but it does make sense. Hi Tyler, Many years ago I worked for a company that developed real estate. We had partners that invested in many of our projects that were billionaires. At some point they upgraded to the Falcon 900’s (previously they had been flying Falcon 50’s if memory serves). During one of our business meetings there was a casual moment and we heard about how much they were enjoying the 900’s. My employer asked whether they had considered the top of the line Gulfstream. The reply was simple: A Gulfstream has only 2 engines, the 900 has 3. I think when you’re a billionaire and money is no object and you’re using your private jet to routinely take trips around the globe that’s an excellent answer.
