I posted this on another forum, but thought I would share here. Took a flight to Detroit for some medical training, loaded the tanks, because the 1/2/3 rule required a legitimate alternate and I was landing dead in the center of a pretty strong low pressure system with some unsettled weather. It sure was interesting to look at the range rings once I got in cruise at FL270. For those not familiar with the Garmin range rings, the dotted line is range with 45 minute reserve adjusted for winds aloft and the solid line is range at fuel exhaustion. In the M600 typically in cruise you will get 1 nm no wind for each pound of fuel (pretty efficient), so you can eyeball the fuel remaining and get an idea of how far you can go before you become a glider. We really could go almost anywhere in North America, and at least I had my passport . Could even hit Southern Alaska, but the winds were pretty unfavorable going NW. Range really opens up opportunity and flexibility when it comes to dealing with weather, fuel stops, headwinds, and need for true alternates. Been flying the M600 for several years now, and still have to pinch myself sometimes.

Very nice, Chuck! Lots of options there. What is ENR in the title bar at the top?

That's just too too cool Charles. Your relentless posts on the M600 got me to thinking that if I do move up to turbine someday that perhaps I just skip the intermediate step to a straight Meridian and simply wait until the price of the M600's come down to an affordable level for me. Shoot me a message when your M600 depreciates down to less than 1000 AMUs will you please? Waiting... Waiting... Waiting...
