In my opinion this 180 is worth more than the plane referenced in this thread. viewtopic.php?f=43&t=193350&view=unread#unreadYeah, the shotgun panel and lack of cool electronics sets it back a bit, but not $40K worth. For $40K you could go all glass with a digital autopilot.

However, I think that will change rapidly once Uncle Joe and his crazy sister in law push some of their ideas through congress. Couple years ago, that would be a $35k bird all day. 5years ago I was kicking around buy a local 150 in OK condition. They wanted $18k for it and sold for somewhere near that. It sold again not only long ago for $31k cash and carry on the spot. I was shocked and the seller just smiled like a Cheshire Cat about it.
Time is ticking. Put it up for $60k and let the fights begin. If the above is true, then we are in some sort of weird aircraft economy bubble, and yes, get what you can because, politics aside, bubbles by their definition are artificial and do not last.
"Weird aircraft bubble"
I think we are in a "weird aircraft bubble" that likely will pop this year. If you are contemplating selling, sell it now; if you are contemplating buying, wait.
I would make a profit selling my 520 powered 182 if I sold it now, but I'm not ready, and prepared to get less for it when I am ready to sell. Gas and insurance may eat my lunch.
