All of you Bahamian visitors, residents, and wanna be expats, this week SpaceX is planning to land a Falcon 9 booster on one of their autonomous drone ships in the sea roughly between Freetown Eleuthera and Shroud Cay.

This is Starlink mission 4-15 and is a planned night launch, lifting off around 2AM EDT (~0600Z) with the booster landing approximately 10 minutes later. The planned launch date is this coming Friday, May 13th, and promises to be a very cool opportunity to observe a booster return and landing. I know if I had a boat in the Bahamas I'd be planning an outing to see this.

Elon doesn't appear to be superstitious, launching on Friday the 13th. ;)

Ahhh, those things will blow up on any day of the month. Doesn’t have to be Friday the 13th.

Wish them the best of luck, still waiting on my Starlink dish and kit to arrive. Maybe this set of satellites will be the one to give the coverage needed.
