Haters gonna hate. I love it. I often fly the Pilatus in the teens. 3.8psi is a whole lot better than 0 psi. :D

Yeah, think of the silver eagle as the poor mans pilatus pc-12!

(Cirrus skipped the G4 in their marketing for some reason).

The number “4” is considered to be very unlucky in China (pronunciation for “4” in Mandarin sounds very much like the word “death”, with the only difference being the tone). And, between G3 and G5, Cirrus was bought by a Chinese state-owned company.

That's hilarious. Cisco skipped IOS version 13 because it's an unlucky number. They also skipped 14 because of some chinese similar issue in China (now I know why).

It reminds me of the old comedian who pointed out that airliners didn't have a row 13 and do you really want to get on something flying through the air where the people who own and operate it are superstitious?

There is no 13th floor in most US hotels to this day. It’s been going on for a long time, but I think it’s a case of marketing rather than operator superstition; if you can’t sell tickets or rooms with a 13 on them you have an annoying problem. If your clientele is simple enough to believe in unlucky numbers, they are probably easily fooled into thinking that they’re really in the 14th row or on the 14th floor. Problem solved.

Same for office buildings.

I was in someone's office years ago on the "14th" floor. I asked him how he liked being on the 13th floor and he gave me an odd look. I said the floor below you is the 12th floor, so..... I think he's Scottish, so maybe it's not a thing there, but he knew what I meant, just didn't realize he was actually on the 13th floor until then.

What's the old Mitch Hedberg joke?

"My hotel doesn't have a 13th Floor because of superstition, but c'mon man...people on the 14th Floor, you know what Floor you're really on. "What room are you in?" "1401". "No, you're not. Jump out of the window: you'll die earlier!"
