I went down a rabbit hole today watching the 1997 American Airlines Advanced Aircraft Maneuvering Program hosted by Captain Warren VanderBurgh.

On the way to the airport this afternoon it got me thinking. I am aware of a few black eyes along the way that Boeing has.

Boeing issues I'm aware of:
PCU rudder hardover in the early 90s on the 737
Inboard flap asymmetry on the 757 that AFAIK didn't cause any deaths but was supposed to not be possible
    MCAS on the Max.

But when I was thinking of Airbus, all I can think of is AA 587 which was due to overcontrolling the rudder. Then there's the famous video of the crash at Habsheim Air Show for the A320 but that wasn't Airbus' fault.

Am I missing any major black eyes against Airbus? Bonus points if there's a Mayday/Air Crash Investigations that I can watch.

I had heard the A330 Fleet had issues with Pitot/Probes giving erroneous indications.

Also need to take into account the fleet size in the tally...of which I have no clue.

Flew Boeing, McDonald Douglas and Airbus. Airbus was the most reliable of the three. Can't think of any issue with the Bus although I had two windshields shatter within 6 months. We were the launch customer and had the largest Airbus fleet in the US.

A close military friend left our airline to be a test pilot for Airbus in France. Never mentioned any issues other than the probes which he flew numerous test flights after the AF accident.

I think there was an Air Disasters for Air New Zealand A320, frozen AOA sensor(s)

QF A330 SIN-PER.

Aircraft went spastic - repeated uncommanded nose down pitch excursions.
