While I would undoubtedly find FIKI capability useful I expect I would only use it to quickly transition (climbing or descending) an icing layer.

For me, pressurization is the one thing that the Malibu has that my TAT TN A36 doesn’t have (that I desire).

In more than 30 years of instrument flight I bet I don’t have a grand total of one hour in icing conditions. So if the Malibu windshield lasts for 30 hours of actual use, I’d be fine.

Charles makes an interesting point about using it often however.....
