Maybe I am not looking hard enough, but there seems to be very little media coverage from the M700 from the you tube gang. Usually we get to see many videos and flight reviews from new planes, but this one has been media shy. Hopefully in the future.....

Rgs,

Patrick.

Maybe they could put the new GE engine from the Denali on it and get Mustang speeds out of it. That would likely require some significant structural and wing changes, but it would give jet performance on turboprop fuel burn. Not sure the Sultan would want to fund that effort.

M1000 "RAGE"

They'd be squaring off directly with the TBM/Epic.

I think the Epic will be the preferred plane when enough people get a ride in them. The extra power and much larger cabin are awesome

If the price between the EPIC and the M700 were the same, and recognizing the EPIC cabin is bigger, I would still choose the Piper for lots of different reasons.

Piper used to have the Matrix (unpressurized Mirage) that was the "below M350" option but they killed it. Presumably they'd need to go in a different direction if that didn't work out.

Matrix was a great plane. Easier to insure without pressurization and great safety record. I think was too close in price to the Mirage, especially when optioned out, so most people looking at the Matrix paid an extra couple hundred K to get the Mirage. Mine was awesome. Annual to annual don’t think I ever had a squawk.
