Excellent explanation of the J58 ... the turbine stages provided only 17.6% of the thrust at cruise.

The allowable drips/minute reminds me of pre-flighting the DA20!

Great video on the SR 71..I’ve heard that this plane was designed with a slide rule not a computer..I have great respect for smart engineers..

Sexiest airplane ever made created by the greatest generation.

I thought I had seen all the vids on the Blackbird - but I had not seen that one. Thank you.

Am I the only one slightly irritated to hear American technology narrated by a Brit in metric units? Also, they kept saying the skin temperatures were due to friction, but as I understand it, most of the heat was due to compression.

I could be wrong and not that it changes your intent but I think that’s an Irish brogue. He may be offended by being called a Brit. :hide:

You are correct and CORRECT, Brian is indeed Irish - and an aeronautical engineer with a curious mind and excellent communication skills. I am happy to be both entertained and educated regardless of nationality or accent.
