Anyone used Savvy prebuy to do the prepurchase? Is it worth the money? If so would you use them again?

As a first time buyer I used them. Highly recommend it for the uninitiated.

More accurately, they manage the pre-buy. Get you set up with a recommended shop, review the scope and results and give you independent advice on the squawks. I used them for both my used Cirrus pre-buy and the maintenance management service (looking over your shop's shoulder on annuals, etc.). You get a discount on the MX service if you do the prebuy.

Good people and they have a lot of excellent expertise on all the models, engines and systems. Recommended!

I sent logs to them three days ago and haven't heard anything yet. I am not familiar with the area (Texas) so I am just wondering if the $700+ fee is worth it. I was under the impression the charge included the inspection but I guess that is not he case?

As mentioned, and as I recall, they just oversee the inspection. They act as your advocate. Believe me they can be worth every penny. Mike Busch is basically a savior to the unbeknown Cirrus crowd who were taken the cleaners at every opportunity. He pushes hard to watch over your well being.

I think their process protects both parties. They are very clear up front in regards to "what" is going to be inspected (as the prebuy is not a defined inspection) and those results from the field mechanic are shared with Savvy before any further effort is taken.

In my case, I share the negotiated Purchase Agreement with them before we sign just to be sure something isn't overlooked and to give them an idea of our expectations and requirements. Normally, this part of the process is pretty straightforward but important.

In contentious situations, Savvy can be that independent third party who can provide an option to keep the purchase moving forward or highlighting the risks to the buyer.

If you elect to use their prebuy service, they provided a discount if you opted for their full service afterward. I don't know if this discount is still in effect but it was a pretty good deal.
