"Enclosed hanger leather seats."
That means somebody accidentally left a wire coat hangar in the padding when they sewed up the leather seats. Might poke you occasionally.

Hard to do a direct comparison but Ive seen people claim the change to cantilever was mostly for aesthetics and not a major speed improvement. Mine has had the gear doors removed and a STOL kit so definitely not the fastest or a fair one to compare to.
The '66 210F was the last strutted model and the book claims 190 mph while the '67 210G claims 192 mph, both with 285hp 520A. Later models continued to get faster and heavier.

I had a 210D model and low level max speed was about 185kts. Most effective was (WOLOP of course) at 10.5 kft and 170kts on about 11 gph. Most efficient was deep LOP, ~9 gph and 160. Or at least thats how I ran it. Commuted regularly between NorCal and SoCal.
I think the better machines were the IO-470 models A-C better engine, better economy and not much loss of speed, maybe 5-6 kts. Its no surprise the IO-520's were the weak link.
