how about a 250nm trip, what would your numbers be? My average mission last year was about 500nm. My average block rate was 90 gph. At high altitude cruise, my burn is is 75gph. A 250nm leg is roughly 55 minutes. A lot of variables on that short of a flight. Fuel would be about 90 gal.

I'm betting you have one for sale.
Ron No sir! We do not sell airplanes. We only represent buyers. It doesn't matter to me if our clients buy a Mustang, an M2... a M600, TBM, a CJ-whatever, an XLS... a Lear 75, a Hawker, a Challenger... or a King Air. I'm often accused of all of my post being advertising, and I guess they are in a way... but the reality is we maintain a full load of clients so I'm not out trolling for business, I start these post so that people can find them and learn from them. For about 15 years I was on the sales side, sold older Lears and Citations... I hated the Mustang because I didn't understand it. I always thought "why not just buy a Citation II... it's cheaper and does more" when you flip to the buyers side and start to understand the entire ownership experience your mindset shifts and you begin to appreciate airplanes that were designed for more than go fast, carry a load.
Chip thank you for your points of these markets - I do appreciate them and I am learning. I do love our Duke but moving from the Bonanza to the Duke does get one hooked on speed and the search for more and more speed - working to figure the path to turbines.

For a while I thought I was going to get a Mustang. It seemed to make sense as the M2 was too much and I wanted more speed than the 421. Main mission is 4 people and bags 1000nm and able to do that in close to 4 hours in some headwind.
441 beats the Mustang in all factors except speed and coolness. Speed is close, within 10% and I'm already at peace with not being cool.

I can stuff my tanks, (sometimes up to 2700 pounds), load my wife and I, (about 340 pounds ) and put around 100 pounds of cargo, and still leave with almost 400 pounds of legally useful load. My 1000nm mission right now at 40k would put about 43 knots on the nose. Gets me there in just over 3:30, and I would expect to land with around 700 pounds. Easy trip. My SOP is to really look hard at any leg that would keep me airborne over 3:45. Of course add in IFR at destination along with other factors, and that number changes. I have split my mission pretty evenly between flying light and solo, and with my wife and loaded with cargo. Other than feeling heavy coming off the runway, I just don’t see any significant performance penalty with the weight. I realize it is there, but it is just not significant enough for me to notice it.

441 is an amazing plane. -10's are great. Long range, fast, low fuel burn, lots of payload. Downside is noise, altitude (love 410), 40 years old. But for a specific mission...can't beat it. Especially with a Garmin TXI panel and a new AP.

Good point, I forgot about that part. Noticably louder than my 421, but still quiet enough pax mostly don't wear headsets even when offered A20s.

I have that in the PC12. What I'm looking for is increased speed, still have the range AND get above most weather. Even at 30k I'm still looking at nasty weather, especially when crossing fronts. I got the jet guys giggling as they pass overhead CAVU
