They are rare these days, but a fun airplane. A little tight in the back seat, they were built when people were "smaller" than they are today. The plane is rugged, performs well on short/rough fields. It's comparable to the Stinson 108 series. The Stinson does have more options though, a few different engine STC's really upgrade the performance.

I've never heard a bad thing about the 15AC.

They're still in business. They build the exhaust shrouds for the RB211's on the 757's I fly. And some other stuff too.

I think they're neat. They were on my shopping list. Burl's owns the TC and has lots of parts on his web site along with plans to build new. A 15AC with an O360 and CS prop would be extra neat. Not a lot of them running around.

Ultimately ended up with a Pacer. Does the same or more with the huge Piper ecosystem to support it.

Pacers are cool. Love the lines. Wouldn't mind owning one.

With an O-360 it's a real performer.

and 880 lbs useful load.

Until the spar cap corrosion issue, it had no AD's at all

There was a one time inspection of control stick casting on some.

100mph airplane
add floats, 100mph
install bigger engine, 100mph
etc...

Good solid airframe, with excellent support now if it fits your mission

Pretty much evening Aeronca makes is pretty nice and most all fly very very well

If you are looking for a legit 4 seater I’d also check out Stinson 108s

Does anyone know what's going on with Burl's new production Sedans? Were any actually made?
