Very interesting. I need to ask a few colleagues/instructors who used to fly the F1 if they were anywhere close.
I wonder what we got in the deal as well...
2 little details:
-N'Djamena is pronounced "Enne-Djameenah". Lovely name which means: we took a rest.
-one second it says the French Air Force had a few F1 to deter the Libyan Air Force, the next that the Americans had to be careful cause they had little defence against said Libyan air force?
edit: and OBVIOUSLY it was NOT the fastest helo in the world, nor the Chinook. That honour is still held by the Lynx.
