I’m a huge fan of those planes.

To me it’s a lot like a motor bike. You don’t want it as your primary means of transportation and it’s not for year round use if you live in a colder climate.

But if you want to fly locally, in good weather and enjoy the wind in your face and the awesome view there’s nothing better!

A little more progress.

Rear seat analog gauges installed.

Airplane should start final assembly late this week. Then engine runs and annual sign off.

Hope to be flying early December.

Does this twin not have a blue line?

Actually it does have a blue line speed Vyse.

Blue line speed is about 48 mph. The rear airspeed indicator is not silk screened with that speed, but the Dynon panel up front will have that speed indicated on the airspeed tape.

At max gross, 1,680 lbs, it supposed to climb at over 300 ft/min at Vyse.

On my demo flight, not at max gross weight, it did way more than that.

It sounds like a fun way to do some multi time building!

There’s two of them around the corner from my hangar they are very cool and on floats. When he’s working on them I just stand and stare. Congrats.

I got about 3.5 hours in an AirCam a few years ago. Absolutely, incredibly fun to go fly. If you're going to root around in river valleys and canyons with steep walls on either side, it's the only way to go.
Definitely in the Top 5 of aircraft I ever want to own.
Congratulations on your acquisition!

Avoiding housework led me to this forum.
Anyone else out there that had to Google "AirCam" and sort by images?
