15kts is a real difference on a long ride. But if you like or need room--PA-32 is a great airframe. Had a Lance. Enjoyed the space and layout. Baron was way faster (same cabin as a Bonanza as far as I can tell). Not sure if the proposed AD will affect the 32s but I've heard that might be the case and something to investigate.

Otherwise both are strong choices if you don't desire a twin.

My Toga does 185ktas on 17.5gph up high.

At 10,500’ it does the same speed as an NA 550 Vtail on an extra 3.5 gph (173ktas)...both LOP and loaded to max weight on departure. Above 10.5 it picks up 2kts per 1,000’.

Turbo-plus intercooler mod and some tuning bring it to life.
