That is really going to clash with the orange parachute.

Absolutely. Rule #1, draw no undue attention to oneself. No vanity plates on the car, no crazy paint schemes.

Also, have never understood the fascination with the skull & crossbones motif.
The pirates were thieves, murderers and rapists. Essentially the organized scum
of their day. Always makes me wonder when you see folks in Florida or in the Caribbean
with tricorn hats, eye patches and rum drinks going around shouting "Arrggghhh matey".

While far from perfect, I try to aspire to a level slightly higher behavior standard than that exhibited by pirates.

I'm starting to see them on the ramp often enough that I don't give them much notice. Parked next to one in ABQ last week, took off behind one at ADS on Friday. Starting to see them all the time. That paint job is fugly and will not result in a great resale I'm predicting.

I thought Pirates were the Rocks Stars of their day?

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When an owner has the *&^%$ to paint their plane in a very unusual scheme, some people love it and some people don't. Believe me, I understand...

Oh, my bad .... never mind.

On a separate note, saw a PC-24 in the wild on Sat at KSLK. Super nice. Was kind of surprised to find one at Saranac Lake. Was even more surprised that it was on the ramp with all buttoned up with covers and sunshades. Had clearly been ther a few days. If I had $10mm plus to drop on a plane like that, would be in the hangar and not on the ramp.
