That’s why I have 7 leases

Wow! 2000s little engine producing 1460 lbf (PW615F) Versus 1960s bigger engine producing 2500 lbf (JT15D-4) The JT15D is just not an efficient engine by modern standards. The FJ44 would compare far more favorably. I bet an M2 is not far off from Mustang due to significantly better speed. Fuel is not the main cost in turbine flying despite the amount you use. You get it cheap, and then you go fast while using it. Factor in winds, and the 310 can get FAR worse some days. Assuming no wind, MU-2M with -10 engines is $0.99/nm, 180 gallons. Mike C.
When I ran the numbers, an M2 would be VERY similar to the Mustang all in. It was the cap ex that was killer. An extra $2m. @4%, that's an extra $80k / year towards TCO.
But they are sweet. And efficient. And you control the AC with a touchscreen! I mean, seriously, how cool is that!!!

Not as spiffy or expensive as a jet I realize but FWIW. No winds in my Meridian yields: 2:55 flight time 111 gallons $0.61/nm

Can you please explain the reasons and benefit and HOW you lease 7 different airplanes. Sounds amazing but why? Open door, insert money. Easy.

Mike C. That’s why I have 7 leases
How does that work? Can you just leave the plane anywhere, and pick it up in some other place. Or is there some fixed base you have to always pick-up/return to?

Not as spiffy or expensive as a jet I realize but FWIW. Slumming it in my Turbonormalized Cardinal if I flew the route today (30 knot tailwinds) I get $0.23/nm: 3.54 flight time (190 block) 31 gallons (LOP) $5/gal $155 total fuel 672nm $0.23/nm No wind block speed would be 165 knots.

I am not smart enough to be able to fly all those different airplanes.
