Less than the price of a new Cirrus Vision... The costs to own and operate something like that must be just comically ridiculous.

Cannot recall where I read it, but it makes sense given world economy, wealth, and demand for travel. I'm not so sure about that. There was a privately owned -200 at our airport that languished for years. It finally left in dumpsters after the interior, engines, and APU were removed. Broke it up with big saws and a tractor.

Any idea of what it would cost? If a G5 is $7500 per hour to operate, is this one $15K?

Michael T will get you your type in a weekend.
Crew and caviar not included... These are the basic fixed costs. Parts are 5 cents on the dollar. For example, a new windshield is $3,500. If I was an oil sheik I would definitely get one!

No value in a JT8D powered B737 anymore. The engines are subject to an AD that requires a shop visit every 8 years to the tune of $500k or so each. There are so many scrapped out these days event parting it out is not an economical option realistically.
